About Stoichiometry
Stoichiometry uses the balanced equation's mole ratios to compute amounts of all reactants and products from any known quantity. The extent of reaction ξ (xi) equals Δnᵢ / νᵢ, where νᵢ is the stoichiometric coefficient. All species react in the same extent, so moles of species j = ξ × νⱼ.
