Waist Circumference (WHO/IDF)
- Male: ≥ 94 cm increased risk; ≥ 102 cm substantially increased
- Female: ≥ 80 cm increased risk; ≥ 88 cm substantially increased
Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHO 2008)
- Male: high risk > 0.90
- Female: high risk > 0.85
Waist-to-Height Ratio (Ashwell)
- Healthy: 0.40 – 0.50
- Increased: 0.50 – 0.60 · High: > 0.60
Body Fat % (US Navy method)
- Male: 100 / [1.0324 − 0.19077·log₁₀(waist−neck) + 0.15456·log₁₀(height)] − 450
- Female: same with (waist + hip − neck)
