FAQ
How do I convert a video to GIF online?
Upload your video, set the start time, duration, width, and FPS, then click Convert. The GIF is generated in your browser and ready to download.
Why is my GIF file so large?
GIF uses an inefficient palette-based format limited to 256 colors. For smaller sizes: reduce FPS (10–15 is enough for most clips), reduce width (480px max), and keep clips under 5 seconds.
Should I use GIF or MP4 for web?
MP4 is 5–10× smaller than an equivalent GIF and looks better. Use <video autoplay loop muted playsinline> in HTML instead of GIF for web. Use GIF only when the platform requires it (Slack, Giphy, etc.).
